Is there purpose and meaning in suffering?

Most people who seek therapy are in pain and want to feel better. While there are many therapeutic approaches, the most effective ones are based in the understanding expressed so well in this article. While some approaches may provide temporary relief, coming into a different relationship with suffering and pain rather than trying to "fix" something that's "wrong," not only relieves the suffering, it opens the way to greater acceptance, joy and love.
